Adsorption-based D-tox water nano membrane
As described in the official D-toxneer invention notes, the nano membrane uses charged
porous nano adsorbent and nano biocide impregnated activated carbon, coated on simple
sediment cartridges (coating thickness ~100–200 µm). Filtration occurs through
nanopores of about 3–4 nm in particles of ~20 nm size.
Positively charged nano adsorbent adsorbs toxic inorganic contaminants such as arsenic,
chromium and lead present as negative oxyanions, while nano adsorbent and nano biocide
neutralise negatively charged microorganisms like bacteria and viruses (>99.9999%
removal), and activated carbon removes pesticides, bad odour and off‑taste.
