Basic Need
As per BIS (IS 10500) drinking water standards, healthy drinking water is desired to have around 500 mg/L total dissolved solids (TDS), which includes essential minerals like calcium, magnesium and potassium. Even up to 2000 mg/L TDS can be consumed where no alternate source is available.
Low-mineral water, such as typical RO water with TDS in the 10–30 mg/L range, does not fulfil the body’s mineral requirements. Long-term consumption of such water is associated with reduced immunity and issues like loss of bone strength, blood pressure fluctuations, nerve problems and muscle pain.
The D-tox water nano membrane was developed to provide safe drinking water without stripping essential minerals, working on gravity with zero water wastage.
D-tox Nano Membrane – How it Works
The D-tox nano membrane contains charged particles of porous nano adsorbent and nano biocide impregnated activated carbon. These are incorporated into simple sediment cartridges through a nano coating methodology with coating thickness of approximately 100–200 microns.
Filtration occurs through nanopores of about 3–4 nm in nano adsorbent particles of around 20 nm size. Positively charged nano adsorbent adsorbs toxic inorganic contaminants such as arsenic, chromium and lead, which are present in water in their negative oxyanion forms.
Positively charged nano adsorbent and nano biocide also neutralise negatively charged proteinous microorganisms like viruses and bacteria through a neutralisation reaction, achieving >99.9999% removal. The activated carbon in the cartridge removes pesticides and bad odour, resulting in pleasant-tasting water.

Additional D-scalent Nano Membrane
An additional descallent nano membrane can be used to remove or reduce iron oxide (red colour), calcium, magnesium, carbonate and hardness that cause white deposits, especially in groundwater applications.
